The black giant ape staggered back from the kick after kick, finally collapsing to the ground, unable to rise again.
"How did you do it? You're just a mere cultivator—why are you so powerful?" the black giant ape asked Dao Lord Taichu in disbelief.
"You're not qualified to know why I'm so powerful. Get lost now, and don't ever appear before me again!" Dao Lord Taichu said, looking at the black giant ape.
"Just you wait!" The black giant ape glared furiously at Dao Lord Taichu, then turned and headed toward another cave.
Dao Lord Taichu ignored the black giant ape and left the cave directly.
Before long, he arrived before a dense thicket. This was a forest inhabited by many Monster Beasts.
Dao Lord Taichu came to a small hill and stopped. He took a long iron rod from his robes and gave it a light flick, planting it into the ground.
Then Dao Lord Taichu took out a bottle of Pills, poured one out, and swallowed it. He began circulating his cultivation technique, and a rich fragrance emanated from his body.
"Huff!" Dao Lord Taichu exhaled a breath of turbid air and slowly opened his eyes. A sharp glint flashed within them as a terrifying power surged forth.
Dao Lord Taichu looked at his hands. They had become even more robust, his bones cracking like steel and iron. His skin gleamed with a metallic luster, and his body brimmed with explosive strength.
What is this power? Dao Lord Taichu muttered to himself as he sensed the strength within his body.
An excited smile appeared on Dao Lord Taichu's face as he looked toward the distant forest, where faint shadows of Monster Beasts could be seen.
"Heh heh, I'll hunt a few Monster Beasts today and test my strength!"
