"Monster beast?" Yang Qianyu said in surprise.
"That's right, a monster beast. This one is enormous, probably dozens of zhang long. Its aura is incredibly powerful too. If it wanted to eat us, it probably wouldn't be difficult!" Dao Lord Taichu said seriously.
"Ah, then what do we do? Let's get out of here!" Yang Qianyu said. She turned to flee, but the moment she took a step, a terrifying force sent her flying.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
Yang Qianyu crashed to the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood. She got to her feet, wiped her mouth, and saw a black shadow. Her heart jolted.
The black shadow leaped up and charged at Yang Qianyu.
Whoosh!
Dao Lord Taichu rushed forward and swung his sword at the black shadow.
Clang!
A metallic impact rang out as sparks flew. Dao Lord Taichu's attack had actually failed to cut through the black shadow.
Dao Lord Taichu secretly drew a sharp breath. Without the slightest hesitation, he turned and fled, because he knew that his cultivation was no match for the opponent. Only by fleeing could he survive.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Dao Lord Taichu fled swiftly through the forest with Yang Qianyu.

A muffled impact sounded. Dao Lord Taichu felt as though a massive boulder had crushed his chest, and his body abruptly halted.
His body stopped flying and fell stiffly to the ground. He lowered his head to look at his chest and found a huge wound there, blood slowly flowing from it.
Pfft!
Dao Lord Taichu spat out a mouthful of blood. His entire body became incomparably weak, and his face turned pale.
"Dao Lord Taichu! Are you all right?" Yang Qianyu hurried over and supported him.
"I... I'm fine! Are you all right?" Dao Lord Taichu said weakly.
