Lu Bai stood outside the gates of Weidao High School for a while, hesitating over whether to go inside and take a look around.
He'd finally come across a deathmatch fighter, but he didn't know much about this school. Going in recklessly might alert the enemy.
Before he could make up his mind, however, the students of Weidao had already noticed him.
The Weidao students who passed by him all gave him unfriendly looks.
After all, it was already light out by the time he'd left the prison, and plenty of students were arriving at school around this time.
Besides, he wasn't wearing a Weidao uniform, and he looked like an easy target.
"Never seen you before. New here?"
"Who knows? Why don't you go ask him? Just keep it down, though. Don't scare him to tears."
"So, what do you think? Should we show the new kid how things work at Weidao? If we can squeeze some money out of him, we'll split it."
"Hahaha, keep your voice down. He might hear you."
The Weidao High School students passing on either side made no effort to hide their malice. They weren't even lowering their voices.
Put simply, with Lu Bai's harmless appearance, it was only a matter of time before Weidao students picked on him. It was just a question of who would make the first move.
Clang! Clatter—
Someone kicked a dented soda can over beside Lu Bai.
"Oi! Cutie, are you lost?"
A mocking voice sounded behind Lu Bai.
There were seven Weidao students in all. Their leader wore his uniform open and had a buzz cut. He swaggered over to Lu Bai with his legs spread, followed by the others.
"Brother Ji, 'cutie' sounds a little too intimate, doesn't it?"
"Doesn't it suit him?"
"Hahaha, yeah.
