"Huh?" Captain Mao froze for a moment.
Once he came to his senses, he hurriedly pulled Observer Chen along and followed Lu Bai.
The image in the livestream suddenly blurred. Amid the roar of wind and the interference it caused, the scenery on both sides rushed past.
Observer Chen staggered to a stop. Only then did the violent shaking that had plagued the livestream for several minutes finally settle.
"S-slow down."
Observer Chen was well-trained, but after running at full speed for so long, his heart was still pounding wildly.
Captain Mao was in slightly better shape than Observer Chen. "Hang in there. Let's get off campus first."
Lu Bai had already pulled some distance ahead of them. He slowed and looked back. He still couldn't see any sign of the Bloody Meatball, so he stopped to wait for them.
Captain Mao pulled Observer Chen along until they caught up. Looking at Lu Bai, he couldn't help giving a wry smile. "We're only slowing you down."
Lu Bai waved a hand dismissively. "Let's get off campus first."
Keshan University of Arts was quite large. Even after running for several minutes, Lu Bai and the others were still a considerable distance from the school gates.
Comments flooded the livestream.
"What about the rest of the Action Department? Why has it been Master Lu fighting the Abomination all by himself?"
"Please be safe!"
"It's working! If Master Lu uses that lightning a few more times, he might have a chance, right? Why run?"
"What are you talking about? Do you know more about the supernatural than Master Lu?"
"Maybe using that lightning takes a lot out of Master Lu, so he can't do it many times."
The viewers couldn't make out exactly what was happening, but they could still feel the tension.
