The other deathmatch contestants had only Silver-level abilities in their third-round Ability Pools. Abilities of that level weren't capable of producing any particularly outrageous effects, and there was always a chance they wouldn't be usable at all.
So none of the contestants present had spent much time choosing an ability for their third-round Ability Pool.
After quickly choosing an ability, they all turned their attention, almost in unison, to Lu Bai, who was examining the Immortal Dao Flower.
"What's the big shot doing?"
"That flower is the 'Node' of this Deathmatch Arena, right?"
"Shh, keep your voice down. Don't disturb him."
The contestants gazed at the radiant Immortal Dao Flower, their eyes filled with envy.
After all, the Deathmatch System provided the Node's real-time location. All the contestants present had to do was check it to find out who had the Node.
But envy was one thing. No one foolish enough would dare snatch anything from Lu Bai. At most, they could observe him in secret and indulge in the fantasy.
Of course, Lu Bai didn't care what the contestants thought. Given the power he had displayed, he was confident that no one would dare reach for the Immortal Dao Flower even if he simply set it on the ground.
He looked away from the flower for a moment and smiled at the group. "Don't mind me. You're all free to do as you please."
Without waiting for a response, Lu Bai returned his attention to the Immortal Dao Flower and began studying how to add restrictions to the Node, oblivious to everyone else.
Now that he had said that, how could the contestants possibly keep watching him? They all turned away and went to crouch in some corner.
Li Mu hesitated for a while, then quietly left as well.
