Inner Qi Formation

A Meridian Connecting cultivator condenses Qi and Blood into a higher-order energy known as Inner Qi. 79

• Inner Qi is denser, sharper, and more agile than ordinary Qi and Blood. 79
• It circulates through opened meridians to reinforce the body, techniques, and movement. 79 81
• A single opened main meridian produces a qualitative increase in strength over the Blood Changing Realm. 79

Externalized Energy

Inner Qi can be projected beyond the body, allowing attacks without direct physical contact. 60

The realm’s long-term strength depends on connecting increasingly complete circulation routes.

• Lesser Heavenly Cycle — formed when all twelve main meridians connect into a closed loop. 92
• Great Heavenly Cycle — begins when extraordinary meridians connect with the twelve main meridians; the Ren Meridian governs the body’s Yin meridians, while the Du Meridian governs its Yang meridians. 155

• The gap between Meridian Connecting and lower realms is overwhelming: a perfect Bone Refining cultivator can be severely wounded by the aftermath of a Meridian Connecting expert’s palm strike. 60
