Emlyn's body went utterly rigid with fear, leaving him rooted to the spot and unable to move.

Before him was the room where Argos had been earlier. Due to the mutation, the room's doors and windows had been burst apart by blades of grass and vines. Shattered glass littered the corridor outside, while the door's hinges had broken, leaving it hanging crookedly to one side and exposing the scene within. Crimson moonlight poured into the room, illuminating half the floor—and someone's lower body.

There were not just the two Artificial Vampires from earlier in Argos's room. There was a third person!

Under the moonlight, grass and vegetation quietly grew over that person's lower body. Compared with the two Artificial Vampires that had swollen madly, the plants covering this figure were far more restrained. Yet Emlyn felt an overwhelmingly intense pressure from him.

The grass was a vivid green, the flowers a brilliant red. They withered abruptly halfway through growing, becoming nourishment for newly sprouted plants.
