Soest's face fell when he saw the black cat carrying off the carrier pigeon. "Catch that cat! Don't let it get away!"
If that cat took the pigeon away, all his efforts over the past while would go to waste!

With the target on one side and an important lead on the other, the Red Gloves captain hesitated for only a moment before making his decision. "Leonard, go after the cat. Everyone else, come with me!"

The Red Gloves team split up at once. Most followed Soest toward the other side of the street, while Leonard alone hurried after the black cat on the rooftops.
Luna paid no attention to the commotion behind her. All her attention was on the pigeon in her mouth.
