Demon soldiers wore pitch-black armor and carried long spears. Demonic energy surged into the sky, mingling with dark-red blood vitality that billowed like signal smoke.
A streak of dark light cut across the sky and slipped silently into Spirit Mountain. Its protective formation detected nothing.
Of course it didn't. Wu Tian had built the entire formation around Spirit Mountain. He knew every flaw in it.
Wu Tian's ethereal voice echoed through the Hall of Great Strength. "Yingyao!"
As always, Yingyao was holding the center. She sensed Wu Tian at once, rose, stepped forward, and bowed respectfully. "Buddha!"
"Yingyao, pass down my order. Tell everyone to prepare for the final battle," Wu Tian said calmly.
"Yes!"
Yingyao asked no unnecessary questions. She had governed all the Western Lands in Wu Tian's place while he preached the Dao; she was brilliant enough to understand.
Suddenly, a blazing streak of light appeared in the Hall of Great Strength. As it faded, it revealed a striking, almost bewitching face. A golden robe draped over Kui Mo, lending him an imposing air.
"Shouldn't you give me an explanation, Fellow Daoist Wu Tian?" Kui Mo demanded.
Wu Tian remained calm as he looked at him. "What explanation do you require, fellow Daoist?"
"Demon Ancestor has yet to complete his great undertaking, but you ventured deep into the east for a mere third-generation disciple of the Chan Sect, jeopardizing his plans. How will you answer for that?"
"I will use this as grounds to send an army east, with myself as the vanguard. Will that suffice?" Wu Tian stared at Kui Mo.
Kui Mo had only come to demand an accounting for Luohou's benefit. He had not expected Wu Tian to propose an eastern campaign on the spot.
The answer
