Long, long ago, there were many Unknowable Lands, and within them lived many unknowable people.
But seventy years ago, another Unknowable Land appeared: the Martial Sect.
This world's Unknowable Lands were Dao Sect's Zhishou, the Devil Sect Mountain Gate, the Buddhist Sect's Xuankong, Great Tang's Academy, and the Martial Sect.
The people of these places rarely appeared in the world.
Cultivation began with the Five Realms. At Initial Awareness, a cultivator first became aware of the energy of heaven and earth around them.
At Perception, they could sense that energy and interact with it in simple ways.
At Unconfused, they began to use it in combat.
At Profound Insight, they gained a deeper understanding of it and could control weapons with their minds.
Knowing Destiny was the highest realm most cultivators reached. Those at this level possessed formidable strength and knew heaven's mandate.
Above it, however, lay many wondrous realms. They were so difficult to reach that few people even knew of them.
Above Knowing Destiny were the Demon Sect's Heaven Demon, the Academy's Distance-Free Realm, the Dao Sect's Extinction, the Buddhist Sect's Boundless, and Xiling's Tianqi, the cultivation realm recognized by the Heavenly Dao of this world.
The Seventh Realm held the Demon Sect's Immortal, the Academy's Transcendence, the Dao Sect's Purity, the Buddhist Sect's Nirvana, and Haotian's Transformation.
There was another realm beyond that. Some considered it the Eighth Realm; others could not say what number it should bear.
Of course, since the Martial Sect had burst onto the scene seventy years ago, the world had gained another path of cultivation.
It was also more straightforward. The sect's methods had nothing to do with the sea of qi and snowy mountain on which prevailing methods relied. Instead, they centered on something called acupoints.
