Whether it was good luck or bad, this group of young cultivators had stumbled upon one such place the moment they entered the Ancient Heavenly Venerable Battlefield.
Once inside, the world turned a murky yellow, and an oppressive weight hung over everything.
Now, a group stood before a black ocean. It stretched beyond sight, its far shore unknown. As they faced the vast waters, a mighty force of heaven and earth swept over them, shaking them to the core.
They were Gu Yue, Gu Ya, Gu Yun, Gu Wen, Lan Ying, Su Yi, Qing Lin, and Xiao Yi Xian.
They had originally intended to explore separately. After all, with too many people, there might not be enough opportunities to go around.
But they had only recently become Earth Supremes, and some were still at the Supreme level. So they had banded together to watch out for one another.
"Could this be... the legendary Boundless Sea of Bitterness in the Heavenly Venerable Battlefield?" Gu Yue gazed at the black expanse, surprise gradually filling her eyes.

Many others recognized it too, and wild joy appeared in their eyes.
The Boundless Sea of Bitterness was one of the Ancient Heavenly Venerable Battlefield's most mysterious places. Many Heavenly Supremes had fallen here in ancient times. As the powers of their various Great Dao laws mingled over thousands of years, wondrous places had inevitably formed. This sea was one of them.
Legend held that the sea contained the Great Dao of heaven
