Shushan’s five elders defeated the invading Monster Realm and Evil Spirit Realm by using the Demon-Locking Tower to suppress their armies. More than a century later, Shi Yongheng reforged the tower, shared sword arts with Shushan, and left Fuzi to explore the Human Realm.

Meanwhile, Shui Yuechu advanced rapidly in her Shushan cultivation, then joined Xu Changqing to investigate poisoned humans attacking Yuzhou and rescue two strangers.

• Chonglou gave Shi Yongheng extraterrestrial meteorite iron, and Shi Yongheng retrieved the Demon Sword from Shushan and entrusted it to Chonglou for Fei Peng.
• Fuzi warned Shi Yongheng that people from the God Realm were searching for Shui Bi, and Chonglou and Shi Yongheng discussed Fuxi's power.

Xu Changqing and his companions investigated the poison men and the disappearances in Yuzhou, leading them from an abandoned village to the gambling house Big Three. When poison men with green eyes attacked at night, Jing Tian and his friends escaped, then heard a girl calling for help and went to investigate.

• Shushan's elders found they could not cure the poison men and sent disciples to investigate, especially at Tang Fortress in Yuzhou.
• Xu Changqing treated Tang Kun while Tang Xuejian watched over her father, and the group followed clues to Wen Xuan's abandoned home.
• Xu Changqing and Shui Yuechu used a Shushan scouting technique to witness men abducting a woman in red, then followed the Shushan Compass to Big Three.

• Jing Tian and Maomao rescued Tang Xuejian from the Poisoned People, and Maomao lured the pursuers away with a hollow bamboo pole.

Jing Tian met Shushan leader Qingwei and was brought to Shushan after Chonglou attacked him, as Qingwei sought his help with the Demon-Locking Tower. The chapter left Jing Tian looking at a blue-violet cloud inside the tower.

• Shui Bi learned that Xuejian was born from the Divine Tree and carried Xiyao's longing for Fei Peng.
• Qingwei appeared to Jing Tian in a dream, promised him a valuable box, and said someone would bring him to meet outside the dream.
• Chonglou confronted Jing Tian and tried to make him fight, but Xu Changqing rescued him and brought him to Shushan.

Jing Tian effortlessly drew the evil thoughts from the Demon-Locking Tower and helped seal them, then learned he and Xu Changqing were recognized by the God Realm and tasked with cleansing the evil thoughts in the Heavenly Pool. When the Heavenly Emperor confronted Shui Yuechu, Fuzi intervened and proposed an alliance between the God Realm and Human Realm.

• Jing Tian called the evil thoughts out of the Demon-Locking Tower and quieted them so the five elders could seal them in a box.
• Daoist Qingwei explained that the evil thoughts came from the five elders practicing the Purest Method and could become a catastrophe for the Three Realms.
• Jing Tian and Xu Changqing activated Shushan's Heaven-Piercing Stone, revealing a map to Heaven's Gate and a route to the God Realm.

Fuzi revealed his identity as Shushan’s patriarch, gave Qingwei divine cultivation methods, and left with Chonglou. Jing Tian’s group set out toward the God Realm after helping Xuejian pay respects to her grandfather and welcoming Long Kui into the group.

• Fuzi told the Five Elders to use the evil qi in the box to train Shushan’s younger generation and gave Qingwei cultivation methods for deities, divine lords, and God Kings.
• Chonglou appeared seeking a fight, and he and Fuzi left together to wreak havoc in the Monster Realm or Evil Spirit Realm.
• Qingwei explained that Fuzi was Shushan’s seventeenth-generation sect leader and revealed that Shui Yuechu was his daughter, then assigned her to travel with Jing Tian’s group along the Heaven-Piercing Road.
• In Yuzhou, Jing Tian found Xuejian hungry and homeless after the Tang family expelled her, and Shui Yuechu helped her enter Tang Fortress to pay respects to her grandfather.
• Xuejian joined the group heading for the God Realm, and Jing Tian returned with Long Kui, the younger sister of his previous incarnation, Long Yang.

Shui Yuechu and her companions left for the God Realm after Shi Yongheng gave her a token and a storage ring. In Peaceful Village, they discovered frightened villagers and met a suspicious woman selling fragrant pollen, whose scent Yuechu recognized as partly fox-like.

• Shi Yongheng let Zixuan and Xu Changqing’s relationship proceed naturally and gave Long Kui a physical body.
• Shui Bi advised Shui Yuechu to travel and strengthen her Dao heart, while Shi Yongheng gave her a God-Demon Gate token and a Sumeru Ring.

• At Peaceful Village, the villagers fled from the group, and Shui Yuechu suspected something unusual was happening near the Earth Spirit Pearl.

Jing Tian and his companions stayed at an inn in Peaceful Village despite its history of mysterious deaths, and Tang Xuejian arrived in the night and fought with Jing Tian. Yue Chu stopped their quarrel and suggested Tang Xuejian rest at the inn.

• Jing Tian's group found every inn in Peaceful Village supposedly full, and the Yong'an Inn keeper revealed that a guest had died mysteriously there and warned them about the coming full-moon nights.
• Yue Chu persuaded the innkeeper to let them stay, and the group agreed to sign a liability waiver.
• Jing Tian tried to hide his fear of demons from Maomao and insisted on keeping the candle lit through the night.
• Tang Xuejian screamed in the middle of the night, and Yue Chu and Xu Changqing found her with a palm print on her face and Jing Tian bound outside the window.
• Jing Tian and Tang Xuejian blamed each other for the fight while Maomao crawled out from under the bed carrying black dog's blood.

Wan Yuzhi sought help from Lord Liu to pay for her sick husband’s medicine, but he refused, and a mysterious woman offered to save him in exchange for Wan Yuzhi’s heart. After learning Wan Yuzhi was a fox demon who had acted kindly, Yue Chu and the others agreed to help her.

• Lord Liu refused Wan Yuzhi’s plea for money, despite her reminding him that her husband had once helped him.
• A woman in purple appeared to Wan Yuzhi and offered to save her husband if Wan Yuzhi gave her heart, then vanished.
• Jing Tian, Yue Chu, and Xu Changqing discussed Lord Liu’s wealth and Wan Yuzhi’s situation, and Yue Chu said they should help her.
• Xu Changqing sensed Jing Tian was unwell and used spiritual power to help him, while Tang Xuejian teased Jing Tian.

Their lesson was interrupted by the discovery of Master Liu’s drained corpse, while Tang Xuejian and Long Kui hurried to learn whether Jing Tian was safe.

Inside the Inner Bell World, the Beast God’s assault ended in a truce after the Incense Valley master gave him the Mysterious Fire Mirror, and Shi Yongheng separated the former Myriad Bat Ancient Cave from the two continents.

• Xu Changqing failed to persuade the villagers to help catch the killer, and he suspected Wan Yuzhi of taking revenge on Master Liu.
• Maomao, Tang Xuejian, Long Kui, and Huaying reached Jing Tian and reassured Long Kui that he was safe.

Outside the bell, Shi Yongheng and Fuzi watched Shui Yuechu’s mission fail and decided not to merge the powerful world into the Inner Bell World yet.

• The bell’s incarnation created the Netherworld, and Haotian Continent and Shenzhou moved within a million-li strait of each other, becoming Heaven Province and Shenzhou.
• The new emperor of Great Tang and Emperor Ming, Lin Yi, sought to divide and govern Shenzhou, but its cultivators formed an alliance and scheduled twenty matches to divide the land ten years later.

After Shui Yuechu and Shi Yongheng’s allies defeated the Evil Sword Immortal, the story followed their reincarnations and the rise of a thousand-year-old Qingyun Sect. The Orthodox-Demonic Tournament began at Liupo Mountain, where Zhang Xiaofan won the opening match, leaving Ghost King to choose the Demonic Cult’s next fighter.

• Jing Tian and Xu Changqing defeated the Evil Sword Immortal, the Five Elders passed away and were reborn, and Xu Changqing became Shushan’s sect master.
• Shi Yongheng sent Shui Yuechu into a new life in Shenzhou, where Mu Yina took her in as a disciple; the Five Elders were also reborn across Tianzhou and Shenzhou.
• A thousand years later, Qingyun’s sect leaders and elders gathered as the Orthodox-Demonic Tournament approached, with Song Daren having recently taken Qingwei as his disciple.

She learned that this was her father’s world, reunited with her mother, and Xu Changqing visited former elders who chose not to return to Shushan.

• The orthodox side won twelve tournament matches to the Demonic Cult’s eight, and the two sides divided their territories before Azure Heaven and the Dao Ancestor bore witness.
• Shui Yuechu cultivated rapidly, became Xiaozhu Peak’s master, and later reached Xuan Qing Immortality alongside Qingwei as generations of prodigies rose.
• In the five-hundredth year, six vast continents descended and merged into Shenzhou, Heaven Province, Demon Province, and Monster Province.
• Shui Yuechu rushed to Heaven Province, found her mother, and learned that this was her father’s world and that he had left to pursue a stronger realm.

Shi Yongheng entered a new world as Tianxing Bodhisattva and found himself among the Buddhas captured by Wu Tian. While imprisoned in the Underworld during Wu Tian’s thirty-three-year rule, he recovered his strength and advanced beyond the True Immortal realm.

• After entering the new world, Shi Yongheng awoke as Tianxing Bodhisattva in Spirit Mountain’s Buddhist hall as Wu Tian demanded that the Buddhas take refuge in him.
• Tang Xuanzang challenged Wu Tian’s claim to Buddhahood, while Tianxing watched and urged Xuanzang not to resist recklessly.
• Wu Tian defeated Xuanzang, severed the Buddhas’ Three Flowers and imprisoned them in the Underworld.
• Tianxing told Guanyin that Wu Tian’s rule would last thirty-three years before the Buddhas returned to their positions, then began merging his memories and cultivating.

Shi Yongheng tracked down Qiao Ling'er at Qiao Family Village, hoping to reach the Buddha’s reincarnation, but Phoenix Head Mountain’s female bandits abducted Qiao Ling'er. Shi Yongheng waited in the village until he sensed a familiar aura.

• Shi Yongheng visited Zhen Yuanzi, who said he did not know where Sun Wukong was.
• Shi Yongheng found Qiao Ling'er near Qiao Family Village and accepted his invitation to visit the village.
• White Lotus and her bandits raided Old Master Qiao’s birthday celebration and demanded silver and grain.

Shi Yongheng rescued Qiao Ling'er and told Sun Wukong that demons had taken over Spirit Mountain, then traveled to Mount Buzhou to seek its hidden opportunities. After merging an ancient branch into the jianmu, he advanced to great perfection of Golden Immortal and emerged from the mountain.

• Shi Yongheng found Qiao Ling'er apparently dead with a Buddhist seal on his back, and Sun Wukong revived him with a golden core pill.
• Shi Yongheng told Sun Wukong that demons had disguised themselves as the figures at Spirit Mountain and that the real bodhisattvas and buddhas were imprisoned in the Netherworld.

Shi Yongheng entered the Dark Abyss and seized the World-Destroying Black Lotus Offshoot and the black demonic water that had gathered beneath it. As he examined the lotus in hiding, he was drawn into visions of the ancient slaughter and a towering man pursuing the Law of Slaughter.

• Shi Yongheng entered the Dark Abyss, protected himself from its baleful qi, and flew deeper into the barren Dark Continent.
• After more than a month, Shi Yongheng found a nine-petaled World-Destroying Black Lotus Offshoot at the center of a demonic qi vortex.
• When a terrifying roar shook the abyss, Shi Yongheng took the lotus and used a jade bottle to collect all the black demonic water before fleeing.
• Shi Yongheng hid in a cave, rested for three days, and began examining the black lotus with his divine sense.
