Styx created the Asura Clan and gained merit enough to sever his second corpse, but failed to become a saint, leaving other powers to abandon their attempts at creating races for merit.

After Laozi returned to Kunlun, Yuanshi and Tongtian also founded sects and attained Sainthood, while Jieyin and Zhunti began making vows to follow them.

  • Laozi entered a human settlement, realized the Human Race was his opportunity, and preached the Golden Elixir Dao for three thousand years.
  • Laozi founded the Human Sect and attained Sainthood, taking a share of the Human Race's fortune and angering Nuwa.

The Demon Race’s ten Golden Crows ravaged the Human Race, prompting a confrontation that Nuwa struggled to settle as the Human Race demanded justice. Primordial Beginning intervened after the Human Race repeatedly tried to swear an oath against the Demon Race, warning them that their arrogance and reliance on protection threatened their rise.

  • Styx founded the Ashura Sect and gained merit but failed to become a saint, while the Demon Race discussed using Dijun’s Heavenly Marriage with Xihe to gain merit and strengthen its position.
  • Xuantian recovered his cultivation, planted his Dao in the Great Dao River, and left to seek the Vast Expanse Barrier after passing cultivation methods to Human Race youngsters.

After the Human Race endured Gonggong’s flood, Turtle helped its leaders turn their humiliation into resolve, leaving them committed to growing stronger.

  • Primordial Beginning warned Dijun to discipline the ten young Golden Crows and announced that a devastating calamity was coming, with five seats of sainthood at stake.
  • Dijun confined the ten young Golden Crows on Fusang Island to train by illuminating the Endless Dark Sea, while they remained resentful and unrepentant.
  • Primordial Beginning gave Gonggong wine that weakened his control, and the drunken Gonggong mistakenly flooded Human Race territory and killed many humans.

Wangshu stopped the fighting, and Primordial Beginning told Dijun and Xihe that their sons had not perished completely after Dijun agreed to relinquish his struggle for supremacy.

  • Dijun warned the Demon Race to prepare for war, while Zhunti and Jieyin plotted to provoke a decisive conflict between the two races.

The chapter ended with the demons learning of their new home and Haotian resolving to build a force that even the Saints would respect.
