Ye Kang unfolded the Jade Slip Map and carefully compared it with the landmarks marked on it.
"Bent Sophora Tree, as thick as the Triple Layered Building. Misty Grass lies in the direction the tree bends."
He kept Ji Xiaohuan's instructions firmly in mind and found the enormous Sophora Tree. Sure enough, it was so thick and sturdy it resembled a Guardian God, standing guard over the entrance to Thousand Poisons Marsh.
Three paths forked beneath the tree. They must have been worn into the ground by wave after wave of adventurers and explorers; over time, their repeated footsteps had formed fixed trails.
Though not entirely safe, following the paths was at least safer than going straight through the bushes.
Ye Kang followed the path on the left, moving forward with his presence concealed as he sent out his spiritual sense.
The existence of a trail meant this was still the outskirts, where the danger was far less than in the depths of the Poison Marsh.
Besides, Ye Kang had a Detox Pill in his mouth. The poisonous mists drifting in from who knew where couldn't affect him, either.
He walked on for about half an hour without encountering any danger. Ahead, a flat meadow came into view.
The area around the path was mostly dark, muddy marshland. The meadow, too, grew atop a stretch of water, its grasses swaying in the breeze and giving off a half-blue, half-purple glow.
Naturally, Ye Kang wasn't about to trudge across the swamp. He lifted his feet off the ground and skimmed over the surface, reaching out to pluck a tuft of grass.
Misty Grass was a Spiritual Sense Herb. It could induce illusions and help with sleep. It wasn't rare; in the merchant houses, it was sold by the hundredweight.
