Background / History

Ye Kang begins as a jailer in the Imperial City Department. After extracting martial arts from prisoners through his system, he rapidly rises in strength and gains recognition from Commander Leng Ruyi during the White Tiger Gang prison-break investigation. He resists being used as Deputy Commander Zhu Cong’s pawn, while accepting opportunities that advance his position and power. 5 6

His first major public feat is killing Bai Daqing, leader of the White Tiger Gang. Though he leaves the subsequent extermination to Zhu Cong’s forces, the completed mission lets him perfect the White Tiger Slaughtering Blade. 7

As his cultivation grows, Ye Kang becomes an Imperial Court enforcer against Jianghu forces.
