Background / History

Twenty thousand years before the main events, Wei Yuan met Qian Yuhan. Her possessiveness led her to imprison him in a secret chamber formation; he eventually accepted the confinement. After she released him, he departed to conquer the Eastern Hemisphere’s seas and pursue his own godhood. Qian Yuhan subsequently founded Martial Soul Hall and spread her faith in part to keep pace with him. 14 15

During his maritime campaign, Wei Yuan defeated the 990,000-year Mysterious Nether Sea Dragon King but was weakened afterward. Poseidon betrayed and killed him, taking the faith power Wei Yuan had accumulated and later using it to become the Sea God. 15

His apparent death was not final. The Heaven Burying Coffin preserved him, allowing him to remain concealed for twenty thousand years while his descendants guarded or inherited aspects of his legacy. His continued existence was gradually revealed through the Sky Screen, his communications with Wei Tianchen, and the emergence of his godly power. 87 160 170 185
