I was even more bewildered than you guys. It came so suddenly—I hadn't even prepared any saved chapters!
I'd only just managed to break into the top ten of the New Book Rankings. Emmm, once it went live, it wouldn't count as a new book anymore!
First and foremost, I had to thank my editor, Azure Fox. He was the one who fished this book up and signed it.
As for the update schedule everyone cared about most, I usually wrote four chapters and uploaded three. First, so unexpected circumstances wouldn't leave me unable to update; second, to give myself some room for error. Sometimes I'd accidentally write a bug while typing, and with saved chapters, I could revise it first.
But this time, I hadn't saved anything up, mainly because I'd gotten lazy. I thought that since it was still in the new book period, I could start stockpiling chapters in a few days. Who would've thought it would go live while still in the new book period!

As for the plot, feel free to dig in. Don't worry about it falling apart—the outline had long since been planned all the way to the late stages, and the main characters had all been designed too. The only thing I hadn't figured out was the final ending!
I'd even designed the background of ancient mythological stories, as well as the rough historical events from before the Human Dao.
