Jiang Daoyi is the foremost younger-generation member of the Jiang Clan, a Martial God Family based in Heavenly Star Lord City. As a Human God Prodigy, he possesses extensive clan resources, formidable cultivation, and the political influence expected of the Jiang Clan’s young master. 426 529

Upon Jiang Hao’s arrival in Heavenly Star Lord City, Jiang Daoyi publicly suppresses Lu Zhanfeng and holds a banquet ostensibly to introduce and praise Jiang Hao. His actual aim is to pressure Jiang Hao into accepting the protection and status of a Jiang Clan follower; Jiang Hao recognizes that Daoyi’s intervention also worsens Jiang Hao’s conflict with the Lu Clan. 426 428

Jiang Hao publicly rejects the offer, refusing both follower status and any change to his surname. Rather than force the matter, Jiang Daoyi accepts the refusal.
