The Emperor gazed at the figure before him, his expression unchanged. He immediately ordered the Nine Beasts, "Attack!"
The Nine Beasts remained as savage as ever, yet they all hesitated, their gazes darting between the two Emperors. For a moment, they could not tell whether to obey this Emperor's command or protect the one who had not spoken.
Seeing the Nine Beasts remain motionless, apparently unable to distinguish friend from foe, the Emperor furrowed his brow and was about to strike again when the other him standing opposite suddenly took a wooden door, complete with its frame, from his Storage Pouch.
The door was pitch-black all over. It seemed to have been forged from a remarkably sturdy spirit material that served no purpose beyond its sturdiness, and its function was impossible to discern.
The man identical to the Emperor fixed the wooden door in midair, then reached out and pushed it open before stepping through.
The next moment, the wooden door slammed shut.
