The next moment, the immortal's limbs suddenly sank. With a clang of clashing metal, he looked down and saw four chains etched with sealing Cloud Seal Script reaching out of the shifting, dazzling void and clamping tightly around his hands and feet.
Two Immortal Clerks dressed exactly like him appeared on either side. They acted in unison, forcing him down and making him kneel.
The Punishment Immortal Official kept one hand behind his back and tossed out an ink-black command token with the other. Ancient characters, resembling fish and insects, were carved into it. Its aura was ancient and distant, heavy beyond measure. The immortal merely glanced at it, yet felt an endless rush of bloodshed, slaughter, and punishment bearing down upon him!
The two Immortal Clerks holding him bowed and replied, "We shall obey the Punishment Official's command and escort the offending clerk to the Immortal Execution Stage at once!"
As soon as their words fell, the immortal's vision blurred. His official robes were gone, along with the magical treasures he had spent years
