Ch. 242Punishment

Parr upgraded Prompt Wake-Up and sought Felice’s help removing the Weakness Curse, but she required his body to enter the Palm God Kingdom at dawn. Meanwhile, A Miao began sleepwalking and performing strange movements, and Parr prepared to undergo Felice’s curse-removal procedure.

  • Parr upgraded Prompt Wake-Up to LV5, learned it could remove negative statuses, and asked Felice to lift the Weakness Curse.
  • Parr found A Miao sleepwalking, brought her to Yuzu for an examination, and learned her condition had not worsened.
  • Back in his room, Parr discovered A Miao sleepwalking again and performing a complicated series of movements.
  • Parr tickled Felice until she agreed to help remove his curse, then cleared the Demon Marks and entered the Palm God Kingdom with his body.
  • Felice told Parr to wait until dawn, when Dawn Undying would be strongest, and Parr explored the ancient battlefield until she called him back.

Ch. 243Elimination

Parr’s divine curse was eliminated after Felice showed him a vision of her becoming the God of Death, but his Knight realm fell to Early-stage Silver. He left A Miao at the inn and prepared to go out alone to kill people.

  • Felice bound Parr and whipped him as revenge before a Demon Mark interrupted her, and she warned him not to bully her again.
  • Felice’s power flowed into Parr, showing him how she had become the God of Death in the primordial forest.
  • Parr’s Prompt Wake-Up talent activated and removed the divine curse, but his Knight realm dropped to Early-stage Silver and the talent returned to Level 5.
  • Parr confronted Felice about the lost strength, then left the Palm God Kingdom while she pretended to sleep and secretly laughed at him.
  • Parr found A Miao healthy after she woke, then told her to stay at the inn while he went out alone, claiming he would earn money for her food.

Ch. 244Contending for the Title

On the Revival Festival, Black Night Dawn launched a coup against his brother Black Sun Dawn, who escaped Dawn City with a small escort. Black Night Dawn pursued him into the forest and used a staff to unleash a barrier that began stirring every plant nearby.

  • Black Night Dawn rallied his Knights and sealed Dawn City, trapping the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team inside under guard.
  • Black Night Dawn attacked Black Sun Dawn’s hidden residence, where the Black Armored Men formed the Black Bird Battle Formation and Villain Boss helped repel them before collapsing.
  • Black Night Dawn’s group discovered a tunnel and triggered a wind barrier; after they broke through it, Black Night Dawn realized Black Sun Dawn was escaping through the East Gate and gave chase.
  • Black Night Dawn pursued Black Sun Dawn into the forest, intending to kill him and frame the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team for the attack.
  • Black Sun Dawn’s group used a sacrificial fighter to delay the pursuers and split into lookalike decoys, so Black Night Dawn planted his staff and cast Flora Barrier: Imprison.

Ch. 245Battle in the Forest

Parr intervened in the Dawn brothers’ battle, killed Black Night Dawn and his forces, then defeated Black Sun Dawn’s group. He discovered that Black Sun Dawn had escaped through a mysterious scheme and returned to Dawn City with a clue about a hidden underground passage.

  • Black Night Dawn trapped Black Sun Dawn’s group inside a plant-powered barrier and ordered his Knights to kill them and the fleeing children.
  • Parr arrived, killed a Knight who attacked him, and defeated Black Night Dawn’s formation, ending Black Night Dawn with a divided Qi Blade.
  • Black Sun Dawn’s Knights attacked Parr after Black Night Dawn fell, but Parr used a shield and magic to defeat them, leaving the Earth Bear Knight alive.
  • Parr intercepted a fleeing boy disguised as Black Sun Dawn and killed him after realizing Black Sun Dawn had escaped and left the boy’s body behind.
  • Parr enslaved the Earth Bear Knight, learned the Knights had met Black Sun Dawn in an underground passage beneath his hidden residence, and sent the remaining children home.
  • Parr confirmed Black Sun Dawn was not among the children, took Black Night Dawn’s staff, and flew back to Dawn City.

Ch. 246Exploration

Parr followed a trail of dense elemental energy through tunnels beneath Dawn City and broke into a hidden complex beneath Dawn Castle, where he fought and collected magical constructs. He descended past a cavern where a boy was receiving a Spirit Stone engraving and found a supposed teleportation array that he dismissed as a decoy.

  • Parr dug into the tunnels beneath Dawn City, followed the white light toward Dawn Castle, and broke through a hidden entrance into a deeper passage.
  • Parr explored the Black Armored Men's training ground, took its supplies, and defeated a giant humanoid Spiritual Tool before collecting it and a damaged Black Iron Tiger.
  • Parr broke through a magically protected stone door and descended a staircase, absorbing numerous Wraiths and raising his Mental Energy Points to 3200.
  • Parr reached a chamber lined with Spirit Stones and silver spatial lines, inspected its silver-white array plate, and tossed it aside as a fake teleportation array.

Ch. 247Digging Up Someone's Ancestral Grave?

Parr broke through the Dawn Family burial ground’s hidden barrier, defeated its Walking Corpses, and took the Spirit Stone Pillar. After tracking the energy underground, he found a Spirit Vein and the Black Wood Coffin containing the aged voice’s owner, setting up a fight with the final enemy.

  • Parr used his Battle Qi to shatter the concealed barrier and entered the Dawn Family’s underground burial chamber.
  • The aged voice called the gods’ divine retainers slaves, then awakened the Dawn Family’s Walking Corpses from their coffins.
  • Parr cut through the Walking Corpses, killed a Gold-level one, and found the remaining coffins empty or holding only a skeleton.
  • Parr removed the Spirit Stone Pillar, but the aged voice fell silent and escaped deeper underground.
  • Parr followed the Spirit Vein’s energy, dug through the chamber floor, and found the Black Wood Coffin floating in its pool.
  • The being inside the coffin decided to wait before seeking revenge, but Parr arrived and prepared to confront it.

Ch. 248An Elder Who Had Lived for Hundreds of Years

Parr confronted Black Spirit Dawn, a centuries-old soul who revealed that he had controlled the Marquis of Dawn and Black Robe for generations. Parr nearly destroyed him with a powerful attack, but the Black Wood Coffin intervened and began restoring his soul.

  • Black Spirit Dawn emerged from the Black Wood Coffin and revealed that he was the second head of the Dawn Family, who had impersonated the Marquis of Dawn and Black Robe while controlling others.
  • Black Spirit Dawn told Parr that the real Black Sun Dawn had died in childhood, and Parr suspected the coffin held the old man's body or source of power.
  • Parr charged the coffin, but Black Spirit Dawn restrained him with Grey Mist Chains that Parr struggled to break.
  • Parr upgraded his Knight realm and used a Combined Strike, then Demonization and a second close-range strike, to inflict fatal damage on Black Spirit Dawn's soul.
  • The Black Wood Coffin's white shield repelled Parr and its patterns glowed as it gathered energy to restore Black Spirit Dawn's collapsing soul.

Ch. 249Talent

Parr drained the Spirit Pool to break the Black Wood Coffin’s protection, killed the old man, and helped collect the spirit vein, triggering an earthquake that destroyed Dawn Castle. He returned to the inn and reunited with A Miao after discovering his new Multi-Tasking Talent.

  • Parr drained the Spirit Pool through the Black Long Sword, leaving the Black Wood Coffin without power, then killed the old man and gained the Multi-Tasking Talent.
  • Parr spent 10,000 Life Energy Points to help the Key collect the spirit vein, and the resulting earthquake collapsed Dawn Castle.
  • Youyan Grand Duke received a report that all direct descendants of the Dawn Family had died and concluded that the Youyan Family’s future was bright.
  • Parr upgraded Multi-Tasking to level four, searched the old man and his coffin for the soul-control mark, then burned the corpse and stored the coffin.
  • Parr escaped the collapsed underground passage, returned to the inn, and reassured A Miao that they were family.

Ch. 250Leaving the Ten Thousand Leaves Tree Dream Space

Parr discovered that the Black Wood Coffin was a Soul Soothing Wood Coffin that restored his mental energy, then entered the Myriad Leaves Tree Dream Space and saw a vision of the Seven-Colored Little Deer’s world falling to an invasion. The vision ended with the deer trapped in a Crystal Ball, calling for someone to free it.

  • Parr disguised as Black Night Dawn and ordered the soldiers to leave the inn and help Dawn City residents, allowing the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team to depart the next morning.
  • In the Palm God Kingdom, Parr found Felice sleeping inside the Black Wood Coffin and discovered that it rapidly restored his mental energy.
  • Parr learned that the coffin was a pseudo-divine artifact called the Soul Soothing Wood Coffin, then fought Felice over it and told her about the Dawn Family’s fate.
  • Parr used Multi-Tasking to keep watch on Felice and Danger Prediction, then entered the Dream Space with the Black Short Sword.
  • Parr saw a world centered on a withered giant tree overrun by black creatures, while its survivors prayed to a seven-colored deer statue before being sent away and the space collapsed.
  • Parr heard the Seven-Colored Little Deer’s familiar cry from inside a dim Crystal Ball as it called for someone to pull it out.

Ch. 251Demon Calamity

Parr learned that demons born from living beings’ negative emotions had caused the Magic Empire’s downfall, but the Seven-Colored Little Deer withheld the calamity’s root cause. He began a new day and traveled with the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team toward Fluorescent City, where Yuzu broke down in tears while holding A Miao.

  • The Seven-Colored Little Deer showed Parr how demons spread across the Magic Empire and destroyed its cities, then sent him to a trial overseen by a stern man in Earth Yellow Heavy Armor.
  • The stern man ordered Parr to carry a massive shield up a mountain, but Talent Prompt Wake-Up awakened him before he could attempt the climb.
  • Parr restored his half-suit of armor with the Black Short Sword, but the Seven-Colored Little Deer said it needed to adjust the Dream Space after absorbing a Spirit Vein.
  • The Leopard Fang Adventurer Team left Dawn City for Fluorescent City, with Parr and A Miao sharing a packhorse.
  • Yuzu hugged A Miao and began crying; Li Bo comforted her, and A Miao returned to Parr after Yuzu whispered to her.

Ch. 252Return to Fluorescent City

After returning to Fluorescent City, Parr learned that Karina had left and traveled with A Miao and the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team toward Netherwood City. On the ship, Yuzu recognized the nature-affinity of Parr’s wooden stick and urgently asked to trade for it.

  • Parr returned to Fluorescent City, rested, and took A Miao shopping, where he bought her a wooden sword and remembered John and Wei Wei.
  • Parr visited Karina’s former home to return her Magic Potion Ingredients Compendium and learned she had left in a hurry after something happened at home.
  • Parr and A Miao spent two more days shopping before boarding a ship south with Captain Keith and the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team.
  • A Miao became seasick, but Parr’s wooden stick eased her discomfort, so she hugged it and would not let go.
  • Yuzu entered Parr’s room, felt the wooden stick’s natural aura, and urgently asked him to trade it to her for any price.

Ch. 253Exchange

Parr traded the wooden stick containing a Holy Sword Fragment to Yuzu for one set of rare supplementary ingredients needed to make a potion for A Miao’s Night Sleep Disorder. Yuzu revealed that restoring her place among the Elves would help her obtain the potion’s main ingredient and secure a Seven-Star Magic Potion Maker, and she promised Parr a portion of it.

  • Yuzu offered Parr valuable goods for the wooden stick, but he refused until she offered the supplementary ingredients she had spent over ten years collecting.
  • Yuzu explained that the potion could also eliminate bloodline conflict in Half-Orcs, and that she had kept the ingredients for her unborn child with Li Bo.
  • Yuzu said she had collected two sets of supplementary ingredients but would trade only one, and Parr agreed to the exchange after learning a Seven-Star Magic Potion Maker was needed.
  • Parr and Yuzu signed contracts, exchanged one set of ingredients and the recipe for the wooden stick, and Yuzu gave A Miao seasickness ointment.
  • Yuzu revealed that she had been cast out of the Elf Race for loving Li Bo and needed the nature-infused stick to regain her status; she promised Parr a portion of the potion’s main ingredient.

Ch. 254Netherwood City

Parr and his group arrived in Netherwood City, a rough adventurer-run city on the edge of the Primeval Forest. After upgrading Bright Eyes and Multi-Tasking, Parr discovered that his new vision revealed enormous numbers of dim elemental particles whose potential he had not yet explored.

  • Parr and his group left the ship, traveled by carriage, and checked into an inn in Netherwood City.
  • Raft spent his voyage earnings at a tavern, asking for the most expensive room and whether its woman was the prettiest.
  • Parr reviewed his status and spent 10,000 Mental Energy Points each to raise Bright Eyes and Refinement to Level 5.
  • Parr upgraded Multi-Tasking to Level 5, gained Tenfold Focus, and adapted to using his enhanced Bright Eyes.
  • Parr found that Level 5 Bright Eyes revealed dim elemental particles vastly outnumbering the active ones.

Ch. 255Yongge

Parr refined a healing potion and decided to study potion-making with Yuzu while traveling toward the Elf Race’s territory. After learning that Yuzu belonged to the Yongge Family and was Karina’s aunt, Parr jokingly asked whether he should call her Grandma Yuzu.

  • Parr refined the elemental impurities from a Weak Healing Magic Potion and found it more effective, then decided he needed to study potion-making systematically.
  • Felice attacked Parr in her modified Spiritual Tool Black Armored Man, but Parr froze the machine, pulled her out, and confiscated it.
  • Parr continued climbing mountains in Mountains Space, strengthening his Mental Power and soul.
  • Captain Keith explained that he needed to find a travel group to cross the dangerous Primeval Forest, and Parr agreed to wait rather than travel alone.
  • Parr visited Yuzu to learn potion-making and showed her the Magic Potion Ingredients Compendium he had borrowed from Karina.
  • Yuzu recognized Karina as her niece from the Yongge Family, and she insisted Parr call her Sister Yuzu instead of Grandma Yuzu.

Ch. 256Alert

Parr began studying Magic Potion knowledge under Yuzu while the Leopard Fang Adventurer Team arranged a safe journey toward the Elf Race. That night, masked attackers trapped the inn in a barrier and stormed inside, leaving Keith and Ken to lead a desperate defense.

  • Yuzu tested Parr on the Magic Potion Ingredients Compendium, confirmed his excellent memory, and began teaching him the symbols and history of Magic Potion studies.
  • Keith told Parr that they would leave for the Elf Race with a merchant caravan on the morning of the third day.
  • Ken sensed a threat outside the inn and secretly alerted Keith, while Parr used Bright Eyes to spot masked enemies, including five Silver-level fighters.
  • Keith warned the others and feigned a drinking contest; Parr and the others stayed alert as the attackers gathered outside the inn.
  • The attackers placed five formation plates around the inn to create a Positioning Barrier, then broke down the doors and charged inside.
  • Keith and Ken led several team members out to hold off the attackers while the rest prepared to escort the clients in a breakout.

Ch. 257Heretics

Parr uncovered that the Greenwood Adventurer Team had targeted Yuzu after learning she was a pure-blooded Elf, and discovered that its leader and several members were Life Heretics. He infiltrated the team’s headquarters to confront them.

  • A masked interrogator killed Raft after confirming that he had seen Yuzu’s true appearance.
  • Parr swiftly killed the masked attackers at the inn, while Keith’s team waited for officials who barely investigated the attack.
  • Parr questioned the attackers’ souls and learned that the Greenwood Adventurer Team had ordered Yuzu’s capture using informants in Netherwood City’s flesh trade.
  • Parr tracked the team’s leader to a tavern and identified him and his companions as Life Heretics.
  • After the leader returned to headquarters, Parr disguised himself as one of the attackers and entered the building.

Ch. 258Great Treasure Sword

Parr infiltrated the Greenwood Adventurer Team’s base but was exposed and trapped in a field that suppressed all energy. He used Demonization and the Great Treasure Sword to defeat the team, then escaped moments before its base exploded, while its captain teleported away.

  • The captain of the Greenwood Adventurer Team identified Parr through a badge and activated a formation that suppressed energy, forcing Parr and his men to fight with physical strength alone.
  • Parr found himself surrounded by the team’s trained fighters and upgraded his Demonization Talent to level four.
  • Parr activated Demonization, transformed the Black Short Sword into a Great Treasure Sword, and killed the surrounding members before mortally stabbing the captain.
  • The captain’s ornament teleported him from the base to the Council Hall and then to an underground cave as the base’s Magic Array began to overload.
  • Parr fled the Greenwood Adventurer Team’s base and warned onlookers before it exploded, after which rival teams seized its abandoned properties and dropped their investigation.

Ch. 259Sword Saint

Parr discovered that the Silver Bell controlling A Miao’s sleepwalking contained the remnant soul of a Sword Saint from a thousand years ago. After learning about the Sword Saint School and questioning Felice about the Great Calamity, he tried to make the remnant prove her identity by sharing the school’s cultivation method, but she refused.

  • The captain of the Greenwood Adventurer Team escaped Parr’s attack, gathered the surviving core members, and fled Netherwood City with the team’s wealth.
  • Parr checked his Energy Points, returned to the inn, and found A Miao sleepwalking while wielding a wooden sword.
  • Parr caught the Silver Bell and heard its remnant soul claim to be a Sword Saint who had died in the war against Death God’s Kingdom.
  • Mage Ken explained that the Sword Saint School was an ancient profession based in the City of Freedom, and Parr went back to question Felice.
  • Felice recalled a woman in white charging into the enemy army alone and said the Silver Bell’s remnant would dissipate if removed from it.
  • Parr placed the Silver Bell in the Soul Soothing Wood Coffin and asked the remnant to prove she was a Sword Saint by teaching him the school’s cultivation method, but she refused.

Ch. 260Journey

Parr learned that Silver Bell’s remnant soul, Nian Ling, had chosen A Miao as her disciple but knew little about the Great Calamity. After leaving Netherwood City with a merchant convoy, Parr studied potion-making as the group traveled through the Primeval Forest toward Ronghua City, which was now four days away.

  • Silver Bell refused to accept Parr as a disciple because she had already chosen A Miao, and Felice swore that the relic was not dangerous.
  • Parr learned that Nian Ling’s account of the Great Calamity came secondhand and that she had later joined the Holy Knights before dying in the Death God's Kingdom.
  • Three days later, Parr and his companions left Netherwood City in a merchant convoy bound for Ronghua City, and green leopard Magic Beasts briefly prowled around it before withdrawing.
  • Yuzu taught Parr potion-making during the journey, and he reached the standard of a One-Star Magic Potion Maker.
  • Parr practiced brewing potions and strengthening his Mental Power while the convoy traveled through the Primeval Forest, and the guide said Ronghua City was at most four days away.

Ch. 261Muhua

Half-elf Hunters launched an operation against a campsite while Duke Muhua secretly used captive Half-elves to produce a blood-derived elixir. The Greenwood Adventurer Team captain reported to Duke Muhua, and a coordinated attack began against the campsite.

  • An old Half-elf summoned Hunters and ordered them to begin an operation against the target.
  • Duke Muhua entered a hidden cavern beneath Muhua Castle, where captive Half-elves were drained to produce a jade-green liquid that he drank.
  • Duke Muhua selected more captives for the process, then received the bloodied Greenwood Adventurer Team captain, who reported killing the team members who had retreated with him.
  • Duke Muhua asked Greenwood to describe the enemy they had encountered near Netherwood City.
  • Silent arrows killed the campsite’s night watchmen, and Magic Beasts charged into the camp as the adventurers’ attempt to organize a defense was cut short by an arrow.
