Then the cockroach crawled through space as if it were solid ground. In the blink of an eye, distance folded like a world between two shores, and it appeared above a planet.
It was a molten planet, with an extremely thin atmosphere and volcanoes that churned and roared year-round. Rivers of lava surged and bellowed across its surface, making it seem like a hell of magma.
