Time passed quietly. Uchiha Brahman began researching inter-universe travel technology. He created a large number of clones and sent them to establish laboratories throughout the universe.
In a star system thirty billion light-years from the Milky Way.
"Experiment starting!"
A colossal stargate floated silently in space. It was circular, radiating a dazzling array of colors, as if it contained every color in the universe. It was one light-year across and made from vast quantities of superalloy. Only by using chakra-matter processing technology had they prevented it from collapsing into a black hole. Stars had been embedded along the enormous ring-shaped structure to serve as power sources.
Uchiha Brahman clones were carrying out the final checks across the surface of the stargate. Once they had finished and confirmed everything was in order, they left the surface of the gigantic gate.
"Activate!"
"Inter-universe superluminal stargate activating!"
"Hyperspace energy transmission system operating stably!"
"Material structure stable..."
"Energy supply system operating stably..."
"Chakra conversion system operating stably..."
"..."
"System check complete..."
"Beginning detection of alternate-universe spatial coordinates! Starting localization!"
Hum...
Brilliant light shone across the vast megastructure, one light-year in diameter, pulsing again and again. Terrifying rivers of energy surged through it, and vast streams of data rushed through its data conduits, nearly becoming tangible.
"The energy supply system is a little inadequate. The efficiency of the nuclear-fusion-based generators is lagging behind. I need a more powerful energy source!"
Uchiha Brahman watched the inter-universe superluminal stargate in operation and frowned, less than satisfied. The gate had been built so large partly because the technology was still immature—it was only a prototype, meant to verify whether his ideas were sound. Another reason was that the current energy supply system was insufficient. Perhaps after optimizing the technology countless times, he might eventually be able to travel
