When Uchiha Brahman read Otsutsuki Toneri's genetic sequence, he discovered that at certain key points, the genes of the Otsutsuki Clan bore some resemblance to those of the Uchiha Clan.
And then there was the Divine Tree.
The Divine Tree, also known as the Demonic Statue of the Outer Path, was the true source of chakra in the Shinobi World. Of course, it was only the source. The Qing Dynasty was the source of gunpowder, too, wasn't it?
And yet a bunch of backward people had beaten them to a pulp with things they'd gotten from the Qing.
So sources like that might be powerful, but there was nothing particularly amazing about them. Wasn't it perfectly normal for a source to divide its power, only for the people who received that power to kill it?
Brahman had studied the Divine Tree, too. By comparing genes, he discovered that the Uchiha Clan—and a small number of other shinobi—shared certain key similarities with it.
The similarities were especially pronounced in the Uchiha Clan's gene segments responsible for controlling the eyes. Unfortunately, those gene segments had deviated in humans. In other words, they had mutated.
Unfortunately, the Divine Tree's bloodline was of no use to Uchiha Brahman.
To Brahman, the so-called Divine Tree was just a somewhat miraculous superorganism. What's more, it grew far too slowly. It had to destroy an entire planet's ecosystem just to produce a single Chakra Fruit. How should he put it...
It was certainly a good thing, but life-bearing planets were exceedingly rare in the universe. How long would it take to find even one? Any planet teeming with life was a miracle, a treasure of the universe.
But look at how these Otsutsuki went about it.
They were like beasts, brutes, locusts—creatures with no intelligence, only strength.
