Shui Yue'er instinctively edged closer to Su Yu, feeling as though an invisible barrier surrounded him, keeping the bone-chilling cold wind at bay.
Su Yu also noticed them shivering from the cold. He stopped and let out a soft sigh.
Looking at their stiff figures, still unable to hide their discomfort despite being wrapped tightly in their cloaks, Su Yu said in a deep voice:
"The farther in we go, the more intense the cold will become. The protection you have won't be of much use."
He paused, then softened his tone. "Stay a little closer to me. I'll shield you from it."
As soon as he finished speaking, the Soul Power within Su Yu quietly began to circulate, and a warm aura spread from his body.
With him at the center, the howling cold wind within a radius of roughly five meters seemed to be blocked by an invisible wall.
Shui Yue'er's eyes lit up. She quickly pulled Shui Bing'er closer to Su Yu. The flush caused by the cold gradually faded from her face, and her stiff fingers became more nimble.
"Wow, it's so warm! Thank you, Brother Su Yu!"
She exclaimed softly, looking up at Su Yu with eyes full of admiration.
Shui Bing'er and the others also breathed a sigh of relief. They could feel the sluggish Soul Power within their bodies flowing smoothly again, while the meridians invaded by the cold eased considerably.
Su Yu waved his hand, signaling for them to keep up. "Let's go. This comfort zone has a limited range, so don't fall behind."
The group clustered around Su Yu as they continued forward, stepping through the thick snow.
With this layer of protection, Shui Yue'er became lively again. She held Su Yu's hand and chatted with him in a low voice.
