But since he was provoking without actually picking a fight, Hongjun naturally didn't dare to start trouble himself.
All he wanted was for the lecture to end smoothly this time, without any more mishaps.
Old Ancestor Hongjun began his lecture. He first glanced over everyone, then paused to collect his thoughts, calm himself, and organize what he wanted to say.
After a brief pause, he said, "Last time, we discussed three paths to sainthood. My orthodox Dao lineage cultivates the path of becoming a Three Corpses Saint by severing the Three Corpses. Those who sever all three are called Three Corpse Quasi-Saints. Previously, I said that severing the Three Corpses could lead to sainthood, but that doesn't mean one becomes a Saint the moment all three are severed! It means one has gained the qualifications to become a Saint!"
"As for whether one can ultimately become a Saint, that depends on whether one can obtain a great opportunity and Great Destiny!"
"Of course, if one cannot sever all three, but severs the corpses of good and evil while retaining the Obsession Corpse, one becomes a Two Corpse Quasi-Saint. With another great opportunity, when saintly qi gathers and the Saint Position is bestowed, one can also prove the Dao and become a Saint."
