After halftime, the game moved into the third quarter.
In the third, Hu Guangsheng and Hu Guangping stayed hot.
They each hit a three right away, stretching the lead to six.
Guo Allen had been briefed by the director beforehand, so he told the players to feed Hu Guangsheng and Hu Guangping more often and let the two of them finish the plays.
The two of them certainly had some ability, and they played quite well over the first three minutes.
But once those three minutes were up, they started to look a little tired.
After five minutes, they began missing shot after shot.
Although they were among the better guards in CUBA, their playing time there was broken up into short stretches, and there were plenty of timeouts.
Besides, their team didn't rely primarily on the two of them. They also had a powerful center who could draw the defense.
The two also took turns on the court, so their stamina wasn't much of a problem. But today, they were both starters and were almost always on the court together, which took a heavy toll on them.
As their stamina waned, so did their shooting percentage.
They had no choice but to pass the ball inside to Da Dong, even though it wasn't what they wanted.
But since their shots had stopped falling, all three Wolf Team players could commit to double-teaming Da Dong as soon as he got the ball, making it hard for him to do anything with it.
Da Dong could only pass the ball back out again.
Even when Da Dong occasionally got a good look and had only one defender on him, Wolf Team would foul him outright.
They all knew Da Dong wasn't a good free-throw shooter.
With that strategy, Wolf Team gradually
