The Kings led by 45 points after three quarters.
By this point, everyone thought there was no suspense left in the game.
Even if the Kings stopped shooting and only played defense, the Bucks would struggle to score 45 points in a single quarter.
What was there left to wonder about?
Everyone also thought Wang Yi had no reason to play again.
First, with such a huge lead, he didn't need to take the court in the fourth quarter.
Second, he'd gone 25-for-25, a perfect shooting percentage and a Finals record.
If he took the court and missed even one shot, he wouldn't be able to maintain his 100% shooting percentage.
In fact, Wang Yi thought the same thing.
But there was only one person in the world who didn't.
That person was Doug.
When Doug took the court in the fourth quarter and saw that Wang Yi hadn't come out, he passed by him and said, "The game isn't over yet, and neither is our bet."
Wang Yi heard him and nodded.
"All right. If you want to get demolished, then I'll make your wish come true."
So, two minutes into the fourth quarter, Wang Yi asked his head coach to put him in again.
The head coach couldn't refuse Wang Yi's request.
After all, Sacramento had become Wang Yi's city. The whole city looked to him for leadership.
What Wang Yi said carried a lot more weight than what the head coach said.
Still, De'Anthony reminded him, "Wang, I can't refuse your request, but I have to remind you that you're shooting 100%, and we have a huge lead. There's really no need to do this."
Paul tried to talk Wang Yi out of it, too.
But there was one person who wasn't having any of it: James.
