Danny finished the alley-oop slam. Near the baseline at the front of the court, he pointed way downcourt toward Wang Yi near the opposite baseline.
Wang Yi gave Danny a thumbs-up from afar in reply.
The Golden 1 Center, which had been rather quiet, finally came alive after that play.
Some people began chanting Wang Yi's name.
"Wang Yi! Wang Yi! Wang Yi..."
"The King is back!"
"That full-court alley-oop was so cool, and the block was even cooler."
Watching the play, Wade puffed out his cheeks and nodded. "Now that's what I'm talking about!"
Stephen A. Smith watched the replay of Wang Yi's block on the big screen.
"When he jumped, both forearms rose above the rim. That was a level of elevation we hadn't seen from him in the previous game."
"Looks like his bounce is starting to come back. Thunder, are you ready? Everyone else, are you ready?"
Wade continued, "It seems Wang Yi hasn't given up, even with everyone counting the Kings out. But honestly, they can't come back on two-pointers alone. They need threes, too."
Stephen A. Smith nodded. "That's right. They need threes. If Wang Yi's three-pointer comes back, their chances of a comeback will go way up."
The lead had now shrunk to 15 points, and it was the Thunder's turn to attack again.
Thunder point guard Wayne had just been blocked, and he was determined to save face in front of Wang Yi.
He still didn't take a shot from the perimeter.
Instead, he ran a pick and roll with their shooting guard, Three-Point Ryan, then drove straight into the paint.
That's right—he was so fast, he drove into the heart of the Kings' defense like a dagger.
Power Forward Tures tried to come over and disrupt him.
But Wang Yi called
