Once she understood, Anjiali said,
"Someone like that really isn't boyfriend material. Even so, when you broke up with him, you should've explained why."
Jane shook her head. "How could I? Should I tell him to his face that I'm breaking up with him because he's too soft? Because he's a wimp? That would hurt his pride too much."
Anjiali heard her out and nodded.
Then she turned to look at Wang Yi.
This really did seem like a difficult situation. It looked as though there was no room for the two of them to get back together.
And judging by Bond's state of mind, if there was no way to fix things, he would probably be down for a long time. At the very least, he wouldn't be able to play normally this season—not in the Playoffs.
After a moment of thought, Wang Yi looked seriously at Jane and said with a smile,
"Jane, actually, from your expression, tone, and eyes when you talk about him, I can tell you still have feelings for him."
Jane fell silent. The truth was, she still had feelings for that guy.
But what did that matter? She absolutely wouldn't allow her child to grow up to be a wimp like him.
Wang Yi continued, "Jane, I promise you: I'll give you back a Bond who's a True Man!"
Jane wasn't the only one surprised by Wang Yi's words. Anjiali was astonished too.
"Wang, a person's personality is largely innate. Their environment can affect it too, but that usually happens when they're young. Once someone is an adult, trying to change their personality through their environment is extremely difficult—unless something happens that gives them a tremendous emotional shock."
Anjiali was a top psychology student, so she was quite confident about this.
