Wang Yi shook his head at De'Anthony, indicating there was no need to call a timeout.
Seeing this, De'Anthony nodded.
His silver mustache swayed gently with the movement.
The Kings continued their offense.
When a player had made the same mistake three times in a row, and the coach still let him play his way, probably only Wang Yi could enjoy that kind of treatment in the league.
With any other star, even if the coach didn't take him off the court, he would at least call a timeout and talk things over with him.
Seeing that the Kings weren't calling a timeout, Jordan shook his head. "What is De'Anthony doing? Has he gone senile?"
But the moment the words left his mouth—
Tweet—
A sharp whistle rang through the arena.
The referee indicated Wemby's number and made a tripping gesture.
Wemby, tripping foul!
Jordan's smile froze on his face.
He couldn't help cursing. "Holy shit, that's a foul? Are you kidding me? Where was the foul?"
Jordan had always been a forceful personality.
Seeing the referee's call, he looked like he was about to charge down there and hit him.
James watched the big screen alongside Jordan.
On the screen, Wang Yi was clutching the ball and charging into the lane like a man carrying a sack of dynamite.
It looked as if he was going to dunk right over Wemby.
Perhaps because he'd made several stops in a row and was too excited, Wemby jumped straight up.
But Wang Yi didn't jump.
After getting Wemby in the air, he made an up-and-under move, then reached his body around behind Wemby.
He could have easily laid the ball in at that point, but he didn't even try.
Wang Yi's foot happened to be on the inside of Wemby's foot.
