What Tures and Little Danny feared most wasn't the effect on themselves. They were afraid it would affect the team's chances of winning the championship.

But an entire day passed, and not a single reporter published anything.

They were both baffled.

Good news traveled slowly, but bad news traveled fast.

An NBA player brawl like this—especially one involving the high-profile Kings—would surely cause an uproar and make headlines everywhere.

At least fifty people in the nightclub had witnessed the whole thing.

They'd also clearly seen someone taking pictures. By all rights, the story should have spread all over the internet by now. How was it possible that there wasn't a single mention of it?

They were both confused and uneasy.

It wasn't until eight the next morning that they arrived at the Training Hall at Golden 1 Center.

They assumed the team must have managed to keep the incident under wraps. Once they got to the Training Hall, they were sure a coach would reprimand them, the General Manager might even warn them, and their leader would certainly have something to say.

But everything seemed normal when they arrived. It was as if nobody knew about the fight.

Even their leader carried on as usual, which left them deeply confused.

They'd had a wild night at the club, and ended up partying until five in the morning.

In other words, they hadn't slept at all.

Still, they forced themselves to stay alert and trained hard.

They kept at it until practice ended, at noon.

The head coach, trainers, and assistant coaches had all left. Then Wang Yi clapped his hands and gathered the players together.

He turned to Tures and Little Danny.

"Come on, you two. Tell us what you did."

The other teammates looked puzzled, glancing at one another.
