The next morning, Wang Yi still got up at six.
He ran ten kilometers around the artificial lake on his property.
Then he went home and made a simple breakfast.
After he and Eagle finished eating, he left plenty of breakfast for all three women, then drove with Eagle to the arena.
The arena wasn't very close to home, but it wasn't far either. A fifteen-minute drive was enough.
Today was his first official day with the Raptors, and he had a lot to do.
The three women didn't get up until after ten that morning.
When they saw the breakfast Wang Yi had left for them, they all felt a little guilty.
Anjiali shook her head and said, "The three of us couldn't even make breakfast for Wang Yi, and instead he made breakfast for all three of us."
Nicole also felt a little guilty. "This can't happen again."
Miyakawa Maya had grown up with a Japanese education, and the idea that a wife should put her husband first was deeply ingrained in her.
She felt even more guilty.
She called Wang Yi directly. "Wang, I'm very sorry. I didn't do what a woman should. You can punish me however you like."
Hearing the word "punish," Anjiali looked at Miyakawa Maya meaningfully. "Don't get any funny ideas."
Miyakawa Maya, however, looked perfectly matter-of-fact. "If you do something wrong, you should be punished. What's wrong with that?"
By then, Wang Yi and Eagle had arrived at the Raptors' arena.
The Raptors were one of the NBA's youngest teams.
They had only been founded in 1998, making them much, much younger than the league's established teams, some of which had nearly eighty years of history.
When the Raptors first formed, their home arena was named after Air Canada and called
