Messi glanced at his eldest son, Thiago, and said, "We just got here yesterday, so there isn't much to do yet. I'm just a little tired after an eleven-hour flight, but it's no big deal. My wife is staying home with the kids so they can rest. I'll go watch Xiao Yu's game this afternoon."
Wang Yi nodded. "That's great. Let's go to my place for lunch, and then you can rest. I'll come pick you up at four this afternoon."
At four that afternoon, Wang Yi and his family picked up Messi and Thiago, and they all headed to Foresthill Central Kindergarten.
Although Messi was a soccer superstar, his arrival didn't cause a stir among the children.
After all, Messi had already retired by the time they were born.
The teachers and coaches, on the other hand, were thrilled to see Messi and warmly welcomed him.
The kindergarten director even came over to chat with Wang Yi and Messi.
"Having a former soccer superstar and a current basketball superstar visit our kindergarten is truly an honor."
As for the children's parents, they simply greeted Messi and then took their seats.
They were all upper-class people. Some of them liked Messi, but they were just ordinary fans, not the sort to go wild over a sports star.
Today's game was between Foresthill Kindergarten and Charles Kindergarten.
Charles Kindergarten was one of the stronger kindergartens in the Foresthill community.
It had placed in the community's top five for three consecutive years.
By comparison, Foresthill Central Kindergarten wasn't nearly as impressive.
But their opponents had clearly done little preparation and were underestimating Foresthill Kindergarten.
Following the coach's instructions, Wang Shiyu took advantage of that weakness and scored three goals in the first five minutes.
Only then did the opposing coach take notice
