Although he and Wang Yi had clashed before, Dako held no personal grudge. They shared the same goal—winning—so he was genuinely concerned about Wang Yi's condition.
Wang Yi shook his head and rolled his shoulders. "I'm fine. I'm as fit as a fiddle. I can eat anything and everything."
The coach could see that Wang Yi wasn't drenched in sweat or panting with exhaustion. He was surprised; Wang Yi seemed to have far more stamina than usual today.
Baiyin came over and asked him, "You played at full tilt for three quarters. You should be exhausted, but you don't look tired at all."
Anjiali also asked with concern, "Wang, how are you feeling? If you're tired, take a few minutes to rest."
Wang Yi shook his head at them. "Don't worry. With two gorgeous women looking out for me, I couldn't admit I was tired even if I were dog-tired."
He was joking, but the two women could see that Wang Yi wasn't the least bit fatigued. They were relieved, though still surprised.
Anjiali gave Baiyin a questioning look.
She wondered if Baiyin had given him something special to eat, like thousand-year-old lingzhi or cordyceps. She'd heard that many Chinese herbal remedies were incredibly potent.
Baiyin shrugged slightly. "I'm just as puzzled. Obviously, I can't get my hands on thousand-year-old lingzhi, and cordyceps wouldn't have that kind of effect anyway."
After a moment's thought, Baiyin mused, "All I can say is that his physique is extraordinary. It's like how an average person's Achilles tendon is only about fifteen centimeters long, while Durant's is thirty centimeters, or how Leonard's hands are a
