Draymond Green continued, "Yes, first of all, we have to applaud this guy for breaking the mold. I think there's a good chance it's Wang Yi. But we also have to face one issue: the Raptors still haven't made the shot. After Wang Yi gets the ball in, someone else has to make it."
Reggie Miller said, "Obviously, the Knicks aren't going to let the Raptors get to the basket for an easy layup, which is why the Raptors have put three three-point shooters on the floor."
"We'll see what happens in these final seven seconds."
On the court, the Raptors players saw Wang Yi standing out of bounds and finally understood.
So Wang Yi was going to take the ball directly from the referee.
That was something they hadn't even considered. The coach had just told them to guard Wang Yi at all costs, but now Wang Yi was standing out of bounds. How were they supposed to guard him?
According to the rules, when a player was inbounding the ball, only that player could stand out of bounds. Everyone else had to stay on the court. That meant they couldn't surround Wang Yi from every direction; they could only trap him from inside the court.
But that kind of trap couldn't possibly shut Wang Yi down.
And if three of them still tried to disrupt Wang Yi's inbound pass from the sideline, all he had to do was get the ball in, and someone else could dribble in for an easy layup.
What should they do?
The Knicks didn't have any timeouts left.
They had to make a decision in just a few seconds.
Jokic quickly assessed the situation and shouted to his teammates, "Man-to-man!"
Every player immediately picked up a man. King Arthur went to the sideline
