Pang Bo came over to Wang Yi with his head lowered. "Brother Yi, I'm sorry."
But Wang Yi was all smiles.
The Raptors had been trailing by one, but Pang Bo's 3+1 foul had put them two points behind instead.
Looks like that had been the right foul after all.
So Wang Yi smiled and patted Pang Bo on the shoulder.
"Little Fatty, don't blame yourself. I told you to foul him."
"But I didn't manage to foul him. He got the 3+1 instead."
Wang Yi laughed as he patted Pang Bo's shoulder. "Letting him get the 3+1 was the best choice."
Pang Bo looked completely baffled.
He stared at Wang Yi in confusion.
But Wang Yi didn't explain, so Pang Bo could only stay baffled.
After comforting Pang Bo, Wang Yi went to the sideline and told the head coach, "Whether Danny makes the free throw or misses it, don't call a timeout."
With that, he returned to the court.
The coach was just as baffled. He glanced up at the clock. There were only 2.1 seconds left.
