Wang Yi stepped to the free-throw line.
He casually sank the shot.
And then came the showboating.
After Wang Yi made the shot, the other players all ran back on defense.
Cui Yongxi didn't run back, but went straight to find the man he was guarding, Ravena, and stuck to him like glue.
Wang Yi, meanwhile, neither ran back on defense nor picked up any of the Philippines players.
Instead, he turned and looked straight at Philippines head coach Reyes.
Then he raised his right hand and pointed at Reyes.
His expression seemed to say, You still aren't calling a timeout?
Seeing Wang Yi's taunting gesture, Reyes understood what he meant.
But the problem was, he had no choice but to call a timeout.
Three turnovers in the first minute, four dunks by the other team, and a 9–0 run.
If he didn't call a timeout now, the Philippines would be done for today.
The broadcast director was quick on the draw, too. The screen once again replayed Wang Yi's move after the free throw: instead of getting back on defense, he'd stared straight at the opposing head coach.
Xu Jingyu couldn't stop praising him:
"After making the free throw, he didn't immediately get back on defense. Instead, he stared at the opposing head coach and pointed at him. What did that mean? Let me explain."
"Brother Yi was staring at the opposing head coach and pointing at him to say: 'Are you calling a timeout or not?'"
"You still not calling a timeout?"
"Reyes didn't dare act tough anymore. He could only admit defeat and call a timeout."
"What does it mean to have an aura of dominance? This right here is an aura of dominance!"
"What? Someone in the comments says that's dominance on full display? Trust me,
