Thinking it over, Team America approached its next possession much more cautiously. They didn't rush into a shot like they had before, instead methodically running a pick and roll.
They went straight to a pick and roll between their two strongest players, King Arthur and Wemby.
Wemby moved to a spot two steps beyond the three-point line and set a screen for King Arthur.
Antetokounmpo, Aleksandar, and Edwards spread out beyond the three-point line on either side.
That pick and roll was incredibly dangerous!
King Arthur could use the screen to drive straight to the basket for a dunk, or pull up and shoot a three.
And if he chose to pass, all he had to do was drive into the paint. With Wemby rolling to the basket behind him, he could simply lob the ball near the rim, and Wemby would catch it.
Once Wemby got the ball near the rim, the possession was practically over.
Even if Wemby didn't roll to the basket, he could simply stay outside the three-point line.
If King Arthur passed him the ball, Wemby was also a strong three-point shooter.
What's more, once Wemby drew the defense, he could dribble right past them and drive to the basket.
Both players were also excellent passers. As they drove, they could find any of the three players on the wings if one of them cut to the basket.
Aleksandar, Antetokounmpo, and Edwards were all outstanding players in their own right, ranked among the top ten in the league.
Next season would mark the NBA's 90th anniversary.
To commemorate the occasion, the NBA would name its 90 Greatest Players.
All five of Team America's players were sure to make the list.
That showed just how talented they were.
If any of them got the ball on
