Thirty Minutes, a Thirty-Point Rout of the Heat

When the Heat's head coach, Spoelstra, saw that the Kings were up by 22 points and still weren't taking Wang Yi off the court, he felt a chill run down his spine.

Was Walton an idiot, or was Wang Yi a freak?

He'd wanted to make a run while Wang Yi rested.

Well, that plan was out the window. Wang Yi was still on the court, so even if the Heat managed to close the gap, they couldn't mount a furious comeback.

And things went exactly as Spoelstra had expected.

When Wang Yi came back in, he didn't try to score. Instead, he stayed on the court and drew double-teams, creating opportunities for his teammates.

And the Kings' teammates were doing a decent job tonight. Their three-point shooting had been pretty good.

So even though the Heat launched a fierce attack right away, after three minutes they had only cut the lead by two.

At that point, Heat coach Spo stressed defense.

They had two formidable defenders: Butler and Tucker, the Shoe King.

The two of them could cause serious problems on the wing and in the paint.

Sure enough, under their defense, Barnes, Bagley, and Holmes all missed shots in succession.

But that meant it was Wang Yi's turn to take over.

Once again, he scored nine points in two minutes.

And once again, he pushed the lead out to 23.

There were only seven minutes left in the game.

Heat coach Spoelstra was starting to regret his decision.

It would've been better to let the other Kings players score. Anything was better than letting that lunatic Wang Yi keep putting up around ten points in two minutes. Who the hell could put up with that?
