Wang Yi's parents weren't staying in the villa district in Chang'an for the time being.
After spending over a month abroad, they had barely seen any of their fellow villagers and missed them quite a bit.
So they stayed at their old home in the countryside.
Nicole had gone to Wang Yi's rural hometown two days before he returned to China.
Wang Yi's parents worried Nicole wouldn't be comfortable at their old home. After all, she'd grown up with a silver spoon in her mouth. How could she get used to living in the countryside? So at first, they planned to stay with her in a detached villa in Chang'an District.
But Nicole refused.
First, she knew Wang Yi's parents wanted to return to their old home, and of course she wanted to go along with what the elderly couple wanted.
Second, she also wanted to spend a few days in Wang Yi's rural hometown and see what kind of place he'd grown up in.
