Jiang Dong Comes Calling
In a secluded courtyard, Qu Feiyan and Qu Yulin sat inside, sipping tea and chatting.
"Fourth Brother, how did it go? What did you talk about?" Qu Feiyan asked nervously.
"We chatted about everyday things and I asked him to reserve a few stalks of spirit bamboo for me. Fellow Daoist Shi was doing you a favor, so he said he'd do his best to make it happen," Qu Yulin said with a smile.
Qu Feiyan smiled sweetly. "He's pretty reliable. I trust him."
"Is there something going on between you two? This isn't a huge favor, but it isn't a small one either. I'm surprised he agreed." Qu Yulin gave her a knowing smile.
A blush spread across Qu Feiyan's fair, jade-like cheeks. She was about to explain when a Sound Transmission Talisman flew in.
Seeing it, Qu Yulin picked up his teacup and took a sip.
"Don't tell me that's from my future brother-in-law!" Qu Yulin teased.
Blushing, Qu Feiyan crushed the talisman. Jiang Dong's voice rang out at once. "Fairy Qu, I'm Jiang Dong. There's something I'd like to discuss with you in person."
"Jiang Dong? How does he know you're here? Has your identity been exposed?" Jiang Dong asked, puzzled.
At the name "Jiang Dong," Qu Feiyan's expression turned cold, as frigid as ice.
The Jiang Family had broken off the engagement, which was actually what she wanted. But her parents had been mocked by their clan and could no longer hold their heads up. That left her rather unhappy, and the mere mention of the Jiang Family or Jiang Dong made her angry.
"Hmph. Who cares how he found me? Ignore him. If he likes it, he can stay outside. It's not as if he's anyone to me," Qu Feiyan said
