The Incomplete Houtian Immortal Artifact
Two days later, Shi Yue walked out of the glacier. Before him stretched a somewhat desolate plain, where countless flying swords stuck out of the ground. Most were battered and broken, making the place look much like a sword tomb.
Shi Yue was a Sword Cultivator himself, and he could clearly sense the terrifying Sword Intent here. His Sword Pill had sensed it, too.
It seemed he would have to cross this place.
After a brief moment of thought, Shi Yue released several hundred Spirit Devouring Bees and directed them to fly ahead.
They flew into the sword tomb without anything unusual happening. One Spirit Devouring Bee alighted on a flying sword that had lost its hilt. The sword suddenly sprang to life, unleashing a fierce Sword Qi that cleaved the bee in two.
The other flying swords seemed to have been roused as well. Dense Sword Qi shot out, cutting the several hundred Spirit Devouring Bees to pieces.
Shi Yue furrowed his brows. Fortunately, he was a Sword Cultivator. He should be able to cross this place.
Shi Yue summoned thirty-six Wind Flame Swords. They whirled around him, forming a massive curtain of swords that shielded him within.
He headed forward. Before he had gone a hundred feet, the flying swords on the ground suddenly came to life, rising into the air and slashing at him.
"Clang! Clang! Clang!"
Sparks flew as the Wind Flame Swords blocked the incoming blades and shattered them.
Shi Yue remained composed and strode on. The thirty-six Wind Flame Swords guarded him, and not a single flying sword could harm him.
Half an hour later, Shi Yue was almost across the plain when a sword intent that seemed capable of destroying heaven and earth suddenly rose in the distance.
