The Devil Race had subdued Ao Yang, likely hoping to draw the Demon Race into the war. At the very least, stirring up hostility between the Humans and Demons would serve their purpose.
If it had been another Demon clan, the Humans might not have taken it seriously. But the True Dragon Clan and the Heavenly Phoenix Clan were the leaders of the Demon Race. If a flood dragon joined the Devil Race, people would suspect the True Dragon Clan was involved, and that would certainly have a bad influence.
Li Feiyu froze for a moment, his brows furrowing slightly.
This was a task Shi Yue had given him. He naturally couldn't turn back halfway; he followed only Shi Yue's orders.
Just then, he seemed to sense something. He took a Golden Transmission Mirror from his robes, sent a Magic Arts seal into it, and Shi Yue's face appeared on its surface.
"Junior Brother Li, come back. Leave Ao Yang to the True Dragon Clan to deal with," Shi Yue said in a low voice.
Ao Xiaotian had already spoken with him. The True Dragon Clan would have designated people deal with any flood dragons who defected, preventing the Humans and Devils from getting carried away with their war and dragging the True Dragon Clan and the Demon Race into it.
Otherwise, the Humans could pin a charge of colluding with the Devil Race on some Great Demon, then kill
