Broken trees lay scattered all around, hidden weapon fragments and torn clothing mixed among the forest undergrowth. Tang San and the others were pale, their breaths weak, the lingering sting of the battle's aftermath still surrounding them. Their brows were tightly furrowed, and they had yet to break free from the shock and terror of moments ago. They lay silently in unconscious slumber, letting the forest breeze carry dust onto their bodies.
Not long afterward, three figures quietly appeared at the scene. They were Li Xiaoyao, Past, and Future.
Their gazes swept across the wreckage on the ground before turning toward Tang San and the others, unconscious nearby. Their faces remained utterly calm.
Past spoke first, his tone as flat as though he had expected it all along.
"I didn't expect Tang Hao's strength to still be this formidable. Even the Titan Giant Ape was lured away by him."
Future glanced toward the depths of the forest and casually added,
"It's perfect that Tang Hao led the Titan Giant Ape over there. The battle aura left here is enough to scare away the other Soul Beasts. No one will come to disturb us."
Li Xiaoyao crouched down to inspect Tang San and the others. After confirming that they had merely been knocked unconscious and were not in danger of dying, he rose to his feet.
"They won't wake up anytime soon. I'll use Fourth Bullet on Tang San to perform Time Reversal, so that when he wakes up, his consciousness will remain at the moment of the battle's chaos."
"When Tang San notices Xiao Wu is gone, he'll naturally assume that the Titan Giant Ape took her away."
"Once Tang San follows the original plot and chases after it, we can take his External Soul Bone, the Eight Spider Lances,
