Although Sakurajima Mai had seen plenty of the world, she still looked utterly dumbfounded when she saw the bear Duanmu Huai had dragged back to the cabin.
"A bear... Can we eat it?"
"Of course. Do you know how to clean fish?"
"I learned a little before."
"Then you take care of the fish. I'll deal with this bear."
Duanmu Huai waved a cleaver around. The cabin had both a firewood cleaver and knives. They were rather dirty, but after being boiled and washed with melted snow to disinfect them, they would be usable.
Besides, at this point, what more could they ask for?
Fortunately, after killing the bear, Duanmu Huai immediately slit its throat and drained every last drop of blood. It was also the middle of winter, so the low temperature meant the bear did not smell too strongly of blood. Thus, it was not particularly difficult to deal with.
