A deep, continuous rumble echoed in the distance. Colt hurried toward home. He had no idea what was happening. He had only seen flames appear in the town, followed by everyone panicking. He could not stop worrying about his family, so after driving the livestock back, he immediately ran toward home.

Beside her, his child was crying out while clinging tightly to its mother's arm.

"Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!"

Yet even though his child was crying itself hoarse, the steel monster remained unmoved. It raised the gun in its hand, still smoking from the muzzle, and aimed at the child beside it.
