Once again, the three of them boarded a flying car and headed toward the Holy Shrine. Sitting inside, Duanmu Huai let out a helpless sigh.
"Mary, what do you think now?"
"Me?"
"That's right. Who do you think our enemy is this time?"
Duanmu Huai did not ask Minme Satori. She was more interested in chopping people up, and thinking had never been her strong suit.
"Hmm..."
Mary furrowed her brow, thought for a moment, then flipped through the notebook in her hands.
"Since there's an Electronic Devil involved, I think it should be Deceitful Trickster..."
After all, Duanmu Huai had once explained to them how Electronic Devils had a devastating impact on human civilization and had caused the Empire to switch to using things like Cogitators.
"I hope it's that guy too. It would be great if it were."
"Does Duanmu Mr. think it isn't?"
Mary was somewhat surprised.
"But didn't those Deceitful Trickster Believers act immediately after you arrived here? They should be serving the Evil God they worship, right? Or can followers of other Evil Gods also command Deceitful Trickster's Demons?"
"Not exactly. That Demon does indeed belong to Deceitful Trickster."
Duanmu Huai waved his hand.
"But don't assume from that that the Blue Hair birdman is here too."

"Deceitful Trickster represents change, which is why it's also known as the Lord of Change. It has no goal and no purpose. Everything it does is simply for the sake of change. For example, if you discover that Deceitful Trickster has thrown a Demon into some world, don't automatically assume it intends to destroy that world. Deceitful Trickster merely wants to experience the changes that result, and whether that Demon ultimately succeeds or fails, either outcome is acceptable. So whether you win or lose, it can always
