After passing through the corridor and entering the Holy Shrine, Duanmu Huai arrived at the control room. The Tech-Priests and Servitors here were all hard at work, and the entire hall was silent save for the occasional sound of hammering. Not a single person even raised their head to look toward Duanmu Huai, as though they had not noticed these uninvited guests at all, and as though the commotion caused by the combat servitors at the entrance had never existed.

"Teacher, can these be chopped up too?"

Minme Satori stared curiously at the Tech-Priests before her, her eyes sweeping over them as though she might start hacking away at the slightest disagreement. Duanmu Huai merely glanced at the Tech-Priests before looking away.

Then he nodded.

"Do it."

Before the words had even left his mouth, Duanmu Huai grabbed a Servitor passing by him and hurled it straight ahead like a baseball. It flew forward, smashing several Tech-Priests connected to Cogitators out of the way in succession, before crashing into the opposite wall with a bang and becoming a dismantled puppet.

"Yah-ha!"

Having received permission, Minme Satori cheered and drew her weapon again, hacking at the tech-priest before her. She swung her blade with skill, like a master swordsman, driving it into one of the gaps where flesh still remained on the tech-priest's body. Then she twisted it around like a butcher dissecting an ox. A flash of cold light appeared, and the tech-priest's head fell to the ground. Minme Satori tapped her toes against the floor and dashed forward once more.

"???"

Only Mary was somewhat at a loss about what to do. Although she had guessed that the Tech-Priests here were probably enemies, in Mary's view, the two sides should at least exchange a few words first to determine
