They had originally thought that having their ordinary lives overturned the instant they opened their eyes, and struggling to survive every day, was already hard enough. But Duanmu Huai soon showed them through sheer fact that in this world, there was plenty of suffering worse than death.
Whether in games, movies, television, or novels, survivors generally tried to move as quietly as possible when living in cities filled with zombies, sneaking around like thieves to avoid attracting their attention. Not to mention that the zombies in this world were incredibly fast, each of them like a hundred-meter sprinter. Once they spotted you, you wouldn't even have time to run before they caught up and knocked you down.
Duanmu Huai, however, did the exact opposite. Basically, whenever he arrived somewhere, he had only one thing to say.

At first, it was parks and plazas. Then it became shopping malls, followed by apartment buildings... The more people there had been, the denser the zombies naturally were.
